The A21 was closed today after a woman fell from a bridge.

Police were called out to the Sevenoaks Bypass at around 6.10am, after a woman fell from Gracious Lane Bridge.

Though the road was closed in both directions, the coastbound road was reopened at 1.35pm. The London-bound carriageway is expected to remain closed until later this afternoon.

The closure was in place between the junctions for the A25, Westerham and Morley's roundabout near Hildenborough.

Secamb paramedics were also called to the scene.

Northbound traffic was being diverted via hollow square route.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
