Woman hit by a car near Cote Brasserie in London Road, Sevenoaks

A woman is being treated in hospital after being hit by a car in Sevenoaks.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the zebra-crossing near Cote Brasserie, London Road, at approximately 11.24am.

The woman, thought to be in her 40's, was treated on scene by ambulance crews.

The ambulance came about 90 minutes late. Stock picture.

It is reported that a Toyota Prius was involved in the incident.

A spokesman for Kent Ambulance Service said: "The woman was treated for foot and leg injuries by the crew, and was taken to Tunbridge Wells hospital."

Kent Police said the road was congested after the incident happened, but it has now cleared.
