A charity in Kent is on the lookout for a patron who shares its views in caring for unwanted and ill-treated animals.
Happy Endings Rescue, based in two locations in Sevenoaks and Faversham, is home to a diverse collection of animals who are in need of sanctuary.
This is an animal charity for animals both young and old with a view to rehabilitate them and find a new, forever home.
Set up in 2007 by Terry Kemp and Chris Johns, Happy Endings Rescue quickly grew to provide a home for the hundreds of animals that are being abandoned every day.
Many horses, sheep and other animals now have a place that they can live out the rest of their days in peace.
“It is not necessary to have been involved in an animal charity before, it is more important to find someone that can take our vision and help it grow" - Terry Kemp...
As well as looking after the animals, Terry and Chris are involved with local community events and schools, to raise awareness about the wonderful animals in their care.
Terry said: “We are extremely busy every day with the amount of animals we have, which is why we are on the lookout for a Patron who shares our passion and would like active involvement in the charity to help raise awareness.
“It is not necessary to have been involved in an animal charity before, it is more important to find someone that can take our vision and help it grow."
Staff at Happy Endings Rescue are desperately trying to raise funds for their new project - to be able to build an on-site medical centre, which would save them thousands of pounds every year.
Chris said: “To be able to have a medical centre on site would enable us to make better use of our funds. We would be able to have an on-site vet, which would allow us to use more of our funding to treat even more animals.
"We would also be able to help the local community and offer low cost and free neutering which in turn will help to reduce the number of unwanted animals being born each year."
