Shoppers will be disappointed to hear The Body Shop in one town has permanently closed.

The skin care and cosmetics chain has closed its store, just off Sevenoaks High Street, days ahead of schedule.

The Brewery Lane store was due to close on March 23, but passers-by can see the inside of the store has been gutted.

A spokesperson from The Body Shop said: "We regularly review our store portfolio performance and have taken the decision not to renew the lease of The Body Shop Sevenoaks and close the store.

"We are currently in consultation with the sales team to discuss job opportunities elsewhere within the business."
