A young boy has been airlifted to a London hospital after he was injured in a collision with a car in West Kent.

Police were called to Tonbridge Road in Sevenoaks at about 9.30am today.

The three-year-old suffered a head injury after he was hit by a black Audi Quattro driving southbound away from the town centre.

The road is closed while the Serious Collision Investigation Unit look into what happened.
