A 15-year-old boy has died after falling from a tree in Sevenoaks.

Joseph Biddle, who is believed to be from the Sevenoaks area and was a pupil at Bennett Memorial School in Tunbridge Wells, died after the accident in Knole Park on Saturday.

Paramedics were unable to revive the teenager who suffered severe head injuries.

A post mortem examination is expected to be held this week.

A tribute on the Bennett school website said: "It was with great shock and sadness that we learnt of the tragic death in an accident of one of our year 11 students, Joseph Biddle, at the weekend.

"The whole school community will share in the grief of Joseph's family at this profoundly difficult time.

"We offer our prayers, especially for Joseph's parents and sister, and for all who will be touched by his untimely death, including his many friends here at Bennett."
