Recovery drivers were forced to act quickly when a car they had loaded onto their vehicle following a crash near Sevenoaks suddenly burst into flames.
Firefighters were called to Church Road, Sundridge, at 10.30pm yesterday when a minor collision almost ended in disaster.
The drivers had already got the car off the back of their vehicle when firefighters arrived and crews quickly put out the flames.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The drivers got the car down pretty quickly."
Two fire engines were sent and spent just over 15 minutes putting out the flames.
