Four people were taken to hospital after a car overturned in an accident on the A229 overnight.

One lane was closed between Cranbrook and Hawkhurst after police were called to the crash at 1.38am.

The driver and three passengers all required hospital treatement but no serious injuries were reported.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

The road was partially closed for a while but has since been reopened.
