Sevenoaks District Council’s free family fun days have been hugely popular with residents across the District.
Family fun days being organised by Sevenoaks council are proving a big success, with more than 230 children at the first event in Dunton Green on Monday.
There’s been one every day in a different location since.
The free days are suitable for the whole family, but mainly aimed at under 12s. They include games, crafts, sports, face painting and more! The days are run by Imago with support from local town and parish councils and are a great way for families to save money and have fun in an active, safe and friendly environment.
They continue every weekday at a different location across the district.
The cabinet member for people and places, Cllr Lesley Dyball, said: “These events really succeed in bringing the whole community together. They’ve been really popular with the children and best of all they are completely free.”
The chairman of Sevenoaks District Council, Cllr John Edwards-Winser, has been at every fun day so far. He said: “Each day has been different and it’s been wonderful to see the children and parents getting involved.”
There are still lots of free family fun days planned over the summer holidays.
