KENT County Council and Sevenoaks District Council are being prosecuted this afternoon by the health and safety over alleged breaches of health and safety legislation.

The prosecution follows an investigation by the Health and Safety Executive into the death of Richard King on March 14, 2002.

Mr King was in his car in a lay-by on the A224 in Sevenoaks when a diseased tree fell on the vehicle.
