The A21 was closed for three hours after a car ploughed into the central reservation.

Kent Police was called to the coast-bound carriageway, close to the Westerham turn off, at 9.57pm yesterday.

A Nissan Navara had collided with the central reservation. Officers and the ambulance service attended the scene and closed the carriageway.

The driver is not believed to have suffered any life threatening injuries.

The road was reopened at 12.40am today.
