A road was closed for almost eight hours overnight after a car overturned.

Police were called at 11.15pm last night following reports that the vehicle had rolled over on London Road, Halstead.

The road was shut in both directions between Otford Lane Shoreham Lane before re-opening at around 7am.

Officers attended the scene alongside paramedics and a woman was taken to a London hospital for treatment.
