A digital guru will be in Sevenoaks this month as part of a national tour aimed at highlighting the positive side of social housing.

John Popham is renowned for his support for the way in which the internet and social media can spread positive messages and make a difference in communities and has become known as a 'digital storyteller'.

He will be visiting social housing provider West Kent on Tuesday, November 11 to help tell the story of the work housing staff do to provide homes.

The event can be followed using the hashtag #HousingDay encourages the UK's social housing sector to come together to promote and celebrate the work of staff.

Last year's event saw staff post live updates on social media and this year's plan is to add to it by telling stories about the communities they foster.
