Dizzee Rascal's award-winning career lies in runs after he was convicted of domestic violence today.
The rapper, real name Dylan Mills, was found guilty of assaulting his former fiancée and mother of his two children, last June at her mum's house.
Rascal, 37, from Knockholt near Sevenoaks, reportedly attacked Cassandra Jones in a "fit of rage" over money issues at her mother's house last June.
Wimbledon Magistrate's Court heard that the rapper arrived at the house in Streatham, south London, in an angry mood and barged his way into the property following a day out with his daughter.
He flew into a rage and banged his head into her fridge three times, all while carrying their child in his arms.
Prosecutor Helena Duong said Ms Jones desperately tried to call the police but the chart-topping rapper took her phone off her.
He then pushed his forehead against hers and pushed her around the room as she screamed "get off me" before pushing her to the floor where she landed on her elbows, grazing them.
Ms Jones wept as she described the star as a ‘ticking time bomb’ when she gave her evidence last month.
She was hyperventilating and struggled to get words out as she spoke from behind a screen.
He is said to have shouted "why did you leave me?", to which she says she replied "because of domestic abuse."
Rascal's lawyer Sallie Bennett-Jenkins QC tried to claim Ms Jones' evidence was "inconsistent, untruthful and exaggerated," while her client gave a "wholly credible" account of the incident.
She went on to allege that Ms Jones in fact assaulted her ex-fiancé, mentioning that Rascal told police that she had pushed him during the incident.
"His evidence lacks any credibility and is without support..."
However, District Judge Polly Glendhill disagreed, describing Rascal as "the aggressor."
"His evidence lacks any credibility and is without support," she added.
"He was the one responsible for assaulting Ms Jones on that day. It was certainly not the other way around."
The prosecutor said he is likely to face a community order for the assault, which she described as a lesser culpability but greater harm offence.
Rascal, of Sevenoaks, is due to be sentenced on April 8 at Croydon Magistrates Court. He has no previous convictions.
The star shot to fame in 2003 when his debut album Boy in da Corner was widely praised by critics.
He has since become one of Britain’s most successful musicians and has topped the charts with catchy singles Dance Wiv Me and Bonkers.
Ten years ago he performed at the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and he was made an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to music.
