A reality TV fan has been caught 'mugging off' the rules of the road after catching up with Love Island while travelling on the M20.

The driver was pulled over by a police officer yesterday at around 3pm after he was spotted driving in the middle lane, between Junction 1, Swanley/ M25 and Junction 2, Sevenoaks.

The man, in his 30s and from Brixton, was then discovered watching the popular ITV2 show, which follows glamorous singletons as they attempt to find love while living in a luxury South African villa.

He was promptly issued with a traffic offence report for careless driving.

A spokeswoman for Kent Police said: "The stop was made because the driver was suspected to be using a mobile phone at the wheel and also unnecessarily using the middle lane."
