A electrician from Sevenoaks is showing his support for NHS staff fighting the coronavirus by offering free emergency call outs for health care workers.
After receiving a call from a couple whose oven stopped working, Jamie Scullion owner of JS Electrical and Property Maintenance, decided to offer his services for free.
The 31-year-old said: "I had a phone call from a couple whose fuse board was tripping which meant their cooker wasn't working. I went round there, rectified the issue and got it all back up and running. While I was talking to them, I found out they were both NHS workers.
"When everything was back up and running, they asked how much they owed me and I said nothing.
"I don't want to take money from people who are doing enough for us at the moment as it is. It was at that point I wanted to offer the same thing for all NHS workers who may need an emergency electrician at this time."
The couple Mr Scullion helped was Ewoma and Sammy Aibangbee from Dartford who both work for the NHS.
Sammy, 41, is a doctor at Darent Valley Hospital and Ewoma, 38, is an optometrist.
Mrs Aibangbee said: "I couldn't believe it, we really really grateful because we were not expecting Jamie to say that at all. It made our day to see some good happening at this time."
Mr Scullion added: "If any NHS workers nearby need my help please get in touch, this is my way of saying thank you."
