A MAN posing as a water board official tricked his way into the home of an elderly man and stole cash and jewellery.
The offender called at the property in St John's Hill, Sevenoaks, on Wednesday afternoon.
He was dressed in a blue boilersuit and said he needed to check the taps.
After he had left the victim discovered that cash and a gold ring had been stolen.
Police say they also want to speak to the man in connection with at least 12 similar incidents that have happened since the early part of last year.
The man is described as white, aged between 45 and 55, 6ft tall and of stocky build.
