A pile of rubbish that was dumped in the middle of a country road was set on fire last night.

The flytipped items were abandoned in Filstone Lane, Otford, and the blaze started just before 11pm yesterday.

Firefighters were called and spent 20 minutes putting out the flames.

The blaze is believed to have been started deliberately.
