James Jordan has today revealed his dad, who has been in hospital after suffering a stroke, is now being treated for coronavirus,
The former Strictly Come Dancing star, who lives in Sevenoaks with his wife Ola, tweeted the devastating news while urging people to stay at home.
The 41-year-old said: "Just when you think things couldn’t get any worse!
"After being in hospital for nearly two weeks after his stroke, my dad has now tested positive to coronavirus.
"He is also fighting an infection he recently got in his arm (Cellulitis). God, please give my dad a break. Stay At Home."
He added: "My dad has always been my hero. When I spoke to him he was more worried about my mum, sister and family.
"He kept saying “ Don’t worry about me, I’ve got this”
"The sad thing is, today he was supposed to be transferred to another hospital where he would have a TV. He was so excited."
Last month Mr Jordan, who was born in Gillingham and started dance classes in Walderslade, said the coronavirus has added pressure to what he described as 'the most stressful time of my life'.
He added: "Trying to juggle a newborn with a wife who is still recovering, my dad in hospital and the coronavirus.
"I would like to think I’m a strong person but I’m going to admit it’s the most stressful time of my life.
"I’m still thinking of all of you! We must all stay safe and #BeKind."
James's wife Ola Jordan recently gave birth to the couple's first child. The Jordan's shared the news on the arrival of baby Ella in February.
