Images of a man police want to speak to in connection with a serious assault on a cyclist have been released.

Athlete and immigration lawyer Katie Good broke her collarbone when she was pushed from her bike by a passenger in a black Vauxhall Astra in Marsh Green Road, Edenbridge.

She fell into a ditch and was taken to hospital.

The 32-year-old was on a morning bike ride with two of her friends on July 22 last year when it happened.

An appeal for information was issued at the time.

Speaking just a couple of days after it happened, Katie, who was riding slightly behind her friends, said: “It was a super quiet country road, I was doing about 20mph as I was trying to catch up.

“I didn’t hear a car or anything – I just suddenly felt this shove from behind.

“The next thing I knew I was over my handlebars and ended up in a ditch. There was immediate pain.”

Boyfriend Olivier van den Bent-Kelly was notified of her fall from the bike’s computer.

He said: “It sent me a text straight away and gave me coordinates.

“I just assumed she would probably have some road rash, I was concerned, but didn’t think the worst.

“Katie was then ringing me in floods of tears, saying she had been pushed and asking why someone would do that.”

On September 8, officers arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.

He remains on bail pending further investigation.

Inspector Christopher Ward said: “Our constables have been investigating this incident over several months and, following recent developments, are now able to issue images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the person pictured to contact our appeal line.

“We would also be keen to hear from any other cyclists who may have been involved in, or witnessed, any similar incidents.”
