Staff at a Shoreham pub were pleasantly surprised when Jamie Oliver - and an entire production team - popped in for lunch.
The celebrity chef stopped by The Crown, in the High Street, with close friend and television co-host, Jimmy Doherty.
The pair work together on their show, Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Feast, which was being filmed near-by at Shoreham's Watts Farm - the pub's green grocery supplier.
They surprised landlord, Paul Cooper, by strolling into the pub during a break from filming - accompanied by the entire production crew.
This was the first time Mr Cooper had served a celebrity in the venue, which he has been running with his family for four years. He said: "We were so shocked when we realised Jamie and Jimmy were part of the booking.
"Jamie has for years been an inspiration to my son, Howard – who is also the pub’s head chef. The whole team at The Crown were so excited to meet him.”
Fresh One, the production company which makes Friday Night Feast, was recommended the pub by a Watts Farm employee.
Mr Cooper added: “It was fantastic to get a recommendation from Watts Farm. We have been sourcing our produce from them for years, as supporting local suppliers is very important to us – it is something our customers truly appreciate.”
