Drivers faced long delays on the M26 following a rush hour crash today.

The accident happened in the west-bound carriageway shortly before the M25 at J5 for Sevenoaks and the A21.

Lane one was closed while the motorway was cleared but all lanes have now re-opened.

Traffic was expected to be clear shortly before 9am.

There was also congestion reported London-bound on the M20 between J5 for Aylesford and J7 for Detling.
