One side of the M25 has been reopened after a multi-vehicle crash, but motorists are still experiencing delays.
Traffic was been halted on the anti-clockwise carriageway between Junction 6 for Godstone/M23 and Junction 5 for Sevenoaks.
A van and two cars were involved in the incident near the Clacket Lane services and congestion is as far back as Junction 8 for the A217 (Reigate).
One lane was initially closed to allow police and ambulance crews to attend but officers made the decision to stop all motorists.
All lanes have now been reopened after traffic was held for just over 15 minutes near to the entry slip road of the services between J5 and J6. This was to allow the vehicles involved to be removed from lane four.
All restrictions were reportedly lift at 4pm but conditions were not helped by an earlier breakdown on the same stretch of road.
