Firefighters have been called to reports of a van on fire on the M25 - just moments after the carriageway was cleared following an accident.

Crews are on route to the reported incident on the anti-clockwise carriageway between junction 6 for the A22/A25 and junction 5 for the M26/A21.

Motorists are still experiencing delays of up to 10 minutes following the earlier accident.

Both sides of the motorway were closed yesterday to allow an air ambulance to land after a serious incident on the same stretch of road.
