The trial of a man accused of causing the death of a 94-year-old woman is due to begin today.
Hannah Eady died after being run over in Hollybush Lane, Sevenoaks in August 2014.
Sean Hill, who lives in Cardiff, was arrested and charged with causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving and driving with no insurance.
Mrs Eady, who was a well-known charity worker. remained in hospital for several months after the incident, but died on Christmas Day.
Hill, 32, appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court for a preliminary hearing last year.
Wearing a dark blue suit he spoke only to confirm his name and address.
He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court this afternoon.
