A man has been charged with threatening a witness giving evidence at Maidstone Crown Court.

Tom Dunn, aged 31, of South Ash Road, Ash near Sevenoaks was arrested on Friday October 20 after the alleged victim complained about his behaviour.

He was subsequently charged with threatening a witness and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on November 2.

Dunn has been bailed to appear at the same court on November 28.

Intimidating a witness is illegal under Section 51 Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. This also covers jurors or potential jurors while an investigation or trial is ongoing.
