A man had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in a bedroom in Sevenoaks.

Firefighters were called to a report of a house fire in Swaffield Road at around 3.15pm.

Two fire engines rushed to the scene and crews managed to put out the blaze in around 30 minutes.

The man suffering the effects of smoke inhalation was handed into the care of paramedics.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
