A multi-vehicle crash which was causing delays on the M25 has been cleared.

The accident happened on the clockwise-carriageway between Junction 5 M26/A21 Sevenoaks and junction 6 for Godstone.

It is believed up to three vehicles were involved. Traffic was temporarily stopped by the Highways Agency but has now been released.

One lane of the carriageway will remain closed until later today due to damage to the central reservation.
