The Post Office in Sevenoaks has announced the trial of a new drop off point for home shopping customers who want to return orders.
The new site in the High Street is one of over 150 drop-off sites in the country and is set to make it even easier for customers to return orders placed during the peak periods.
The Post Office hopes by trialling this new service alongside current branches it will encourage new customers to use its services.
It has also announced that customers will be able to send more for less when using Royal Mail at its branches this Christmas.
The maximum size for Royal Mail’s Small Parcel format almost doubled from this month meaning that posters can put bigger or more items into small packages - offering better value.
Martin George chief commercial officer said: “Around one in ten online orders are returned so retailers need to ensure they provide a convenient, easy and reliable returns network. It’s a growing market and one in which the Post Office, through its unrivalled reach, is the market leader.
"We’re delighted that as well as making it easier for people to visit our branches through longer opening hours we can now also offer even better value for money when posting parcels at Post Office branches.”
Customers wishing to use any of these drop off points simply peel off the pre-paid Royal Mail returns label sent with their purchase and stick it on the front of the parcel.
