Sevenoaks District Council is marketing a plot of land, creating an opportunity for a new family home.
The site, situated at the end of Knole Way, was created when a new road was constructed for the approach to the Leisure Centre.
The Council is inviting bidders to indicate their intentions for the plot and are minded to support applications for a single family home, in keeping with the character of the road.
The plan for marketing the site has been carried out in co-operation with Knole Paddock Residents’ Association (KPRA) and is being sold through RPC Land & New Homes Ltd.
A council spokesman said the move continues the authority's aim of becoming financially self-sufficient with the income generated from this land being reinvested.
Cllr Peter Fleming, leader of the council, said: “It is important that we take as many opportunities as possible to refresh our investment portfolio.
"The land at Knole Way is currently unused but by selling the site we will not only create fresh funds that can be reinvested in the future, but we can also create the opportunity for a new family home”.
Offers for the site must be submitted in writing to RPC’s Tonbridge Office in High Street no later than 12pm on Wednesday.
