Man and woman from Sevenoaks charged with number of offence after theft of handbags from coffee shops in Sevenoaks and Westerham

A pair from Sevenoaks have been arrested and charged with a number of offences after the theft of handbags from local coffee shops.

Steven Thomas, of St Johns Road, has been charged with four counts of shoplifting, making off without payment, handling stolen goods, receiving stolen goods and six counts of possessing another person’s identity documents.

The 38-year-old has been remanded to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court today.

Evelyn Lawlor, of St Johns Road in Sevenoaks, has been charged with nine counts of theft, six counts of possessing another person’s identity documents and one count of receiving stolen goods.

The 42-year-old has also been remanded to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court today.
