The curator of a popular garden in Platt will appear on BBC 2's Gardener's World this Friday.
William Dyson, from Great Comp Garden in Comp Lane, will speak about his collection of 200 different Salvias which are native to central and South America.
Presenter Carol Klein visited in August to find out where the plants come from, how many colours there are to choose from and what they need to thrive in the UK.
Mr Dyson said: “We were delighted when Gardeners’ World asked if they could visit Great Comp to see the Salvias and the gardens.
"It was especially exciting to show Carol my Salvias – she is such an enthusiastic plantswoman and understood my passion for these wonderful plants and for Great Comp.”
Salvias flower from June until the end of October and will still be in bloom at the Garden’s Autumn Extravaganza on Satuday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12.
Gardener's World will air on BBC 2 at 9.30pm.
