A Canterbury Christ Church University student of Film, Radio, and TV has won a prestigious international radio award.
Anna Louise Walter from Ightham has won silver for Best Student Radio Personality at the New York Festivals Radio Program Awards.
Miss Walter flew to the Big Apple on Sunday, with delays putting off her journey but not her spirits.
The 22-year-old currently volunteers with Canterbury's community and student radio station, CSRfm, which is available on 97.4fm in the Canterbury area.
She has served on the station's committee this year as its Head of Daytime, organising the schedule for 9am-6pm Monday-Friday.
Her demo was put together using excerpts from her Friday afternoon show.
Miss Walter also completed a 12-hour radio marathon in August 2015 to raise money for Make a Wish UK.
Speaking about her success, Miss Walter said: "I'm thrilled to have won this award. It was an unbelievable night, full of inspiring speeches and radio clips from all over the world.
"We were whisked to a fairytale Manhattan rooftop bar after the ceremony with beautiful views of the Empire State Building and Manhattan skyline. This is a dream come true.
"Huge thanks to Canterbury Christ Church University for flying me out to New York and to CSRfm for their ongoing support."
Miss Walter has also enjoyed previous success this year, winning silver at the national Student Radio Awards for Best Female.
