Woman hit by car in Pilgrims Way, Otford dies in hospital

A woman who was hit by a car while walking her dog in Otford, has died in hospital.

Emergency services were called to Pilgrims Way just after 7.30am yesterday following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a silver Perodua Nippa.

The woman, who was in her 60s, was taken to a London hospital by helicopter with serious injuries. Police have since confirmed she has passed away.

The dog was uninjured.

A road closure was in place until 1.30pm while officers from the serious collision investigation unit carried out inquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the pedestrian or vehicle beforehand to call 01622 798538 quoting reference 02-0193, or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.
