A Sevenoaks based firm received a huge business boost from Dragon’s Den TV star Theo Paphitis.
Danny Tickner, owner of Samsian Ltd in Borough Green, tweeted the entrepreneur about his business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, a weekly initiative aimed at boosting trade for small and growing companies.
Theo retweeted Danny’s message to his 260,000 followers and as a result Samsian, which is run out of Danny’s home in Wye Road, has had more than 1000 followers and dozens of extra orders.
The central heating boiler installation business is now profiled on a new website that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners, and 47-year-old Danny who has lead the company for four years couldn’t be happier.
He said: “Each year since starting we have grown steadily.
"From the outset I decided to bring the ‘partnering ethos’ normally only found in the central heating contracting industry, direct to the customers door and this has proved an immense success.
“Since Theo re tweeted me the business has really taken off, we have had so much work as a result. Within a month we had lots more orders and we are well known in the area now.”
Anyone looking to be re tweeted by Theo should message him about their business on Sunday between 5pm and 7.30pm including the hash tag #SBS.
Six lucky businesses are re-tweeted every Monday at 8pm and are invited to enter their profile on the new website.
