Trading standards are urging residents to say no to rogue traders who have been door knocking in the Sevenoaks area.

On 22 July a resident in Lingfield Road, Borough Green, received a knock on the door from a rogue trader offering driveway work.

The man is about 5’8, with short dark hair, in his late 40’s, has a thick Irish accent and
wearing a yellow fluorescent vest with no top underneath.

He quickly left when the resident told him that CCTV was in operation at the property.

The rogue trader was last seen knocking on doors in Lingfield Road and Ascot Close.

Trading Standards are now encouraging residents to say no to uninvited callers, no to cash payments, no to unnecessary repairs and to say it politely but firmly.
