Edenbridge could see the construction of a new solar farm if an appeal against initial refusal of plans is successful.
An application for Sevenoaks' first ever solar park to be built on Skinners Farm was thrown out by the council in January as a result of GreenBelt policy.
Many councillors feared the 25-year time scale of the proposed build would create a loophole for further, similar developments.
The farm, which would include a 1.8 metre security fence, infrared CCTV, a substation and 2km connection to the national grid, would have provided enough electricity for approximately 1,500 homes.
Green Energy Limited claimed the 27 acre park would have also provided great benefits to the local community.
A formal appeal with supporting documentation against the decision was lodged on April 1.
It is unknown when a decision will be made but a Sevenoaks District Council spokesman said the appeal had been received.
