A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspected shoplifter who stands accused of stealing meat, chocolate and detergents from Sainsbury's and Co-op stores.
Adam Lloyd, of Glyn Davies Close, Dunton Green was due before Sevenoaks Magistrate' Court yesterday to face theft and assault charges but failed to show.
It comes after a series of suspected thefts from stores in Swanley, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge.
Between April 4 and April 6, various items from the shops were alleged to have been stolen in large quantities.
On Tuesday, April 20 a suspect was identified near Swanley train station and arrested.
The 25-year-old Sevenoaks man was later charged with six counts of theft and with resisting or obstructing a police constable in the execution of their duty.
He was further charged with assaulting a shop worker at a Savers store in Swanley.
Lloyd was bailed to attend a hearing at Sevenoaks Magistrates' yesterday but the court says he did not attend.
A warrant has now been issued for his arrest without bail.
