Swimmers at a Sevenoaks leisure centre have been evacuated after a fire.
Crews were called to Sevenoaks Swimming Centre in Buckhurst Lane at 11.44am on Saturday in four fire engines and a height vehicle following reports of a blaze in the roof of the building.
They used a fan to clear smoke from the first floor and the fire was eventually brought under control by 1pm, containing the blaze to the plant room of the premises used as a swimming pool.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Everyone was accounted for and there were no casualties.
"The incident has now been scaled down and two fire engines remain on the scene while crews damp down remaining hotspots.
"UK Power is also in attendance. The cause of the fire is not yet known."
A Kent Police spokesman added: "Kent Police was called to a leisure centre in Buckhurst Lane, Sevenoaks, at 12.13pm following a report of a fire.
"Officers attended the scene and provided support for crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
"No injuries have been reported however officers remain at the scene providing assistance."
A spokesman for Sencio, which runs the facility, said: "We've unfortunately suffered a fire at Sevenoaks Leisure Centre and will be closed until further notice.
"We're sorry for any inconvenience and will update once we know more. Thank you for your support and understanding."
