A teenager has been arrested as officers continue to investigate a spate of break-ins to sheds and garages in Sevenoaks.
The 15-year-old, from Orpington, was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of stealing a bike earlier that day from a shed in Pollyhaugh, Eynsford.
He has been bailed, pending further inquiries until June 12.
Investigations into a number of other reported break-ins to outbuildings are on-going.
Between May 30 and 31 in Shoreham Road, Otford two bicycles were reported stolen from a garage.
At a property nearby, garden machinery and golf clubs were taken after a shed was burgled. Another neighbour reported a failed attempt to steal a rotavator, also from a garden shed.
Sevenoaks inspector Tim Price said: "It is possible that the teenager arrested may also be linked to other incidents in these areas and we are continuing to make enquiries.
"Although this type of crime is still rare in the Sevenoaks district it is important residents remain vigilant. During this time of year reports of thefts from outbuildings and gardens do tend to increase but by taking a few simple steps you can protect machinery, bikes and other valuables from being targeted by thieves."
