Two 17-year-old boys were arrested after a police chase following a suspected burglary.

The force's helicopter was deployed when a silver car allegedly sped away after its occupants spotted a police car.

Officers had received reports that a burglary was taking place after they were called to Mount St Aignan Way in Edenbridge at about 10.15pm last night.

A police chase ensued when officer spotted the "suspicious" silver car, which failed to stop.

The car was brought to a halt in Ray Lane at about 10.45pm, where the two occupants attempted to run away.

The teenagers - one from Edenbridge and the other East Grinstead - were apprehended shortly afterwards.

They remain in custody as inquiries continue.
