An overturned lorry in the early hours led to the closure of a village road.

Church Road at Sundridge near Sevenoaks was shut for several hours after the accident at about 2am today.

The road was shut in both directions between New Road and A25 Main Road near the White Horse pub.

The accident was near the junction with New Road. It is understood the vehicle was removed and the road reopened by about 8.50am.

There were no injuries.
