POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old girl was the victim of a vicious attack in west Kent at the weekend.

The attack happened in the early hours of Saturday morning between 12.30am and 1.15am, in a covered walkway off Sevenoaks High Street.

Detectives Police are appealing for anyone in the area of the town at the junction of Pembroke Road and Suffolk Way during that time to come forward.

The victim is still being detained in Kent and Sussex Hospital at Tunbridge Wells. Anyone with information is asked to telephone West Kent Police on 01732 771055.
