Basketball girls do county proud

KENT won the South East England basketball tournament, against Surrey and Sussex, at Sevenoaks School on Sunday.
They were soon 10 points behind against Surrey, but a recovery was led by inspirational play by the county girls’ under-13 coach, Rosemary Okocha.
A huge three pointer for Surrey tied the game in the final minute, but then Cristal Turner was fouled on the final possession and had two shots to seal the win.
Her first shot missed but she cooly sank the second shot for a dramatic victory 71-70.
In the second game Kent comfortably beat Sussex 103-64.
