Mike Conway in racing in one of the world’s most prestigious championships

Sevenoaks racer Mike Conway will be leading the British charge when the American Indycar series begins this weekend.

Conway quit the GP2 series at the end of last season for a move to Dreyer & Reinbold Racing where he will take part in one of the world’s most prestigious championships.

The Grand Prix of St Petersburg kicks the season off with 100 laps scheduled around the Florida circuit.

Conway, 25, recently completed testing at the Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama where he finished 12th and was second rookie in the timings.

“We just need to take what we learned at the test and move forward to be strong for St. Pete.”.

Team Owner Robbie Buhl said: “We’re really optimistic for the first race because we know that the potential is there and we’re making gains every time we hit the track.”
