Mike Conway finished agonisingly close to a podium finish during a rain-soaked second GP2 race at Silverstone on Sunday.
A sodden track claimed many of the drivers but the 24-year-old from Sevenoaks hung on to take fourth closely behind Italian Giorgio Pantano.
Winning Sunday’s race was Brazilian Bruno Senna.
Conway had qualified 8th for Trident Racing but his opening race of the weekend, on Saturday, didn’t go to plan as he finished in 14th. Pantano took the win.
