MIKE Conway is aiming to step up his assault on the British Formula 3 Championship at Castle Combe this weekend.
The 21-year-old Sevenoaks driver lies third in the standings, seven points behind the leader Marko Asmer after eight races.
Not satisfied with four podium finishes and one win, Conway is planning a title push in his rookie season.
He said: "You've got to start thinking about that at this point. It's not that we've not been trying so far but we've got to make sure from now on that we're scoring podiums and wins.
"The team is working really hard to try and find some extra time in the car and we're getting to the point now where we need the ultimate set-up on the car at every round."
Conway has not raced at the Wiltshire circuit since 2001, but he is confident that he has his car set up perfectly for the fast track.
He said: "We tested there last year. It will be slightly different with the new car for this year but thanks to the work we've already done, we know where the changes are going to be.
"Castle Combe has some nice long straights and some fast corners so it should suit me.
"There are quite a few places where you should be able to pass, too. I'm sure we can have another strong weekend."
Qualifying for this weekend's 11th and 12th rounds of the championship take place on Saturday, with two races on Sunday.
