Creative youngsters have been having a say in how their new school should look.
The 11 to 15-year-olds from Sheppey Academy east site, Minster, joined landscape architect James Blake for a day’s workshop to come up with design ideas.
Mr Blake will now consider how to incorporate their designs into the landscape.
Their creations have also gone on display around the new school building, which is being completed as part of the £58m academy.
According to the academy’s Shurland School head teacher, Julian Barritt, the session was part and parcel of getting youngsters designing what they want to see around them.
He said: “They had a cracking day and we’re very proud of their work.”
