Isle of Sheppey academy celebrates one year since it was taken over by Oasis

Rowing, cycling and running the equivalent of a journey to Bangladesh was just one of the activities on Thursday when pupils at Isle of Sheppey Academy marked a year since Oasis took over its running.

Youngsters headed to Minster, Eastchurch and Queenborough primary schools to read the popular children’s book, The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

Pupils at both academy sites undertook the energetic task of rowing, cycling and running the equivalent distance to Bangladesh to raise money for a partner school in the Asian country.
