The A25 has been closed in both directions after an accident involving a fallen tree.

The road is shut at Ightham, between Borough Green and Seal, near Sevenoaks.

It is understood the accident happened at about 7.30pm.

There are unconfirmed reports a car had been hit by a falling tree.

As of 9.40pm, the road remained closed between Spring Lane and Coach Road.

Police have been contacted for a comment.
